SRAM Red --The Shifter

Months after releasing SRAM Force, the new sexy, lighter than Dura-Ace 1:1 Actuation groupo, they (SRAM) secretly released to us vendors through various mediums that a newer, better road group would be released soon. After a call to SRAM to find out more I was given nothing...notta...no soup. However it seems just in time for THE Tour, SRAM is leaking pics and info. regarding the newer, even lighter, even sexier group. Above is the new shifter with an improved double-tap mechanism and adjustable reach brake/shift lever. Go here for more pics and info. Ahh so beautiful...

CSC without their Leader during Tour

Velonews is reporting CSC's Director Sportif Bjarne Riis will not be following his Team CSC during the Tour de France set to start Saturday. Do to more allegations involving drug scandals, Riis has decided to stay out of the Tour. How will this affect CSC? Will the doping EVER end?

Urban Velo #2--Now Available!

From some of the original guys of Dirt Rag Mag, Brad & Jeff produce this bi-monthly periodical that is FREE! The focus of the magazine in on everything urban cyclists have to deal with on a daily basis. Like others it doesn't just focus on gear, nutrition, or the pro peleton, but more on the people that ride in the city and commute to work just because they love to ride. Messengers aren't the only guys that like to dodge cars to get to where they are going. Urban Velo #1 was awesome and #2 is sure to please. You can get to these guys website here or download the mag on this page. By the way thanks to CD for an amazing night on Saturday, if only we had met sooner...

GIRO's New Helmet: the Ionos

Now available to the public! You might have noticed in last years Tour de France, the Phonak and Disco riders were wearing something not exactly identical to the Atmos. Now after a year of alterations and CPSC certs. the Ionos is available to US customers. Cycling News reports it is 15% more breathable than the Atmos and actually has anti-odor/anti-bacterial padding. Will be selling for around $225.

iPhone...Day Two

So unlike Windows Vista, Apple's newly released iPhone seems to so far please everyone. Could it have really met all of the hype it received? We will soon know as everyone and their mom will post their comments/reviews on what they think. CNET at this point seems to be the best place to get reviews, pics, vids, etc... They call it iPhone central. The first disappointment that I can find so far is that the user is only able to use Apple's white ear buds because of the recessed earphone port. Grrrr, not very cool as I am a user of Etymotic Research Er-6s. Blackberry please respond...I know you can...I think you can...well can you?

Live Free or Die Hard...A Must See Movie

He has done it three times before and this fourth addition to the Die Hard series will please any Bruce Willis fan. Combining Willis's hardcore appearance with Justin's Long youthful humor, some new attractive actresses, and awesome special affects this movie will entertain anyone that likes a great action film. All in all I give it a 7.5 out of 10 because some of the special effects were so out there it took away from the movie a little bit and there were a lot of corny lines but other than that I would see it again. Oh and listen for the cheap shot the writers take at FEMA...ouch! Yippee kaye mother (well you know).

Sunsets

Ahh aren't they gorgeous? The sunset is such a beautiful thing. It signifies the end of one thing but also the beginning of another. Sometimes its good to just look up and capture the moment even without camera in hand. I was lucky enough to get this and a few others today after a torrential downpour we had for a solid hour.

Now like the sunset it is time for me to end my day. Bonsoir, Buona notte, Buenas noches, and Goodnight...

SMILE

Haha! I love it. Definitely one of the coolest pics I have seen lately. One it has a fixed gear bike. Two it has a bike messenger. Three it was taken down under. And Four look how she is dressed and what a great smile. Awesome! (stolen from my boys over at fixed gear track disease)

And the theme lately has been engagements, love, weddings, etc...thought I would share something; if you see the chic below just walking around lonely without anyone to hold her late at night give her my number. So gorgeous that Keira...

Fox F-Series 100X No More!

Get it while you can! So we received Fox Racing Shocks 08' catalog today and they F-Series 100X fork is no longer in production. As a cross-country rider I think it is the best fork every designed for my style/form of riding. However it only works for very specific types of riders that enjoy a "hardtail feel" for maximum efficiency and it was expensive. Now Fox will consider the F-100RLC to be its top of the line cross-country fork. Compared to the cheaper R and RL series, the RLC has low speed compression adjustment and lockout force adjust. But hey when you want to lockout that fork you gotta turn a dial....HAHA suckers!!!!

The Couple

Here they are! Mark and his "wife" he already calls her. Can you guess where they are? Post a comment. But Megan did come into the shop today to show us the ring. WOW! Expect wedding bands to be exchanged next summer...
